Legal Literacy Programme on 19-11-2025
The Department of Legal Studies, Central University of Kashmir (CUK) in collaboration with our school conducted a Legal Literacy Programme on 19-11-2025.
The objective
of the programme was to familiarise our students with the Do’s and Don’ts of a residential school like ours and to help them draw healthy boundaries, develop balanced thinking, and grow into well-informed and responsible members of school and society.
The programme focused on several grave issues that the student community, and society at large, face today. The key topics discussed included:

Domestic violence in boarding school environments

Bullying & Cyber Bullying, along with awareness on Digital Ethical Literacy

Measured Response — understanding legal approaches to antisocial behaviour

Empowering students with knowledge of laws, juvenile rights, and relevant helpline numbers

A Short Quiz to sharpen student skills and support their academic aspirations
The programme concluded with a profound and timeless understanding:
“Freedom ends where another person’s nose begins.”
Crossing this boundary can lead to consequences—just as reflected in the story of Adam and Eve and the forbidden fruit.
Since learning is the foundation of all hopes and aspirations, we feel blessed to find ourselves among our students, learning and growing together.
